JM,

I had a chat with someone in the company, but haven't had a chance to do any further research. My personal assessment at this point, however, is that SYNI may be the "real deal".

That said, here's a thought ...why should any producing OS company pay for natural gas when they can acquire the technology to produce their own syngas from heavy oil they already have and which still has to be refined in order to sell. North West Upgrading Inc, an upgrading company, figured that out and awarded the design and license of a new 120MMSCFD gasification based hydrogen plant to a German company, Lurgi. The plant will include gasification gas sweetening processes. The unit, when finished, will be fed hydrocracker residue to produce synthetic gas (carbon monoxide and hydrogen) that will be sent to Lurgi supplied gas conditioning facilities for CO conversion and hydrogen purification.

In short, OS companies will be looking for new technologies and SYNI might be playing a part. I may have more information by the end of this week on whether anything appears promising at this stage of the company for the foreseeable future.
