- he said oil is priced in dollars cause

I could never figure this one out. If I want to buy something priced in dollars, and all I have in my pocket is a bundle of Thai baht, the vendor will simply whips out the calculator. Currencies are instantly interconvertible this day and age. Oil "pricing" in dollars is more of a convention (got to use some name, no?) than a reflection of any real need to store US currency (or bonds) in your vault.
