Since Microsoft start offerring Local.live.com maps (beta), Google Maps quietly enlarged 4 times (2 steps) its maps in scale to match Microsoft maps: local.live.com Now you can tell which cars parked at the curb in front of your home. By the way, both maps come from the same source, possibly from Navteq Corp (NVT). But Google maps have better color and contrast. That's the beauty of competition.
