That's a very important point. Significantly higher commodity prices have justified holding larger dollar reserves and in turn supported the dollar. IMO we should expect to see a reversal of this trend as soon as the world economy takes a turn for the worse.

The dollar's standing, on shaky ground already, should suffer which is why I expect gold and silver to do very well for quite some time along with their typically harsh corrections.
