The dollar's standing, on shaky ground already, should suffer which is why I expect gold and silver to do very well for quite some time along with their typically harsh corrections.

It all depends how bad things gone get. If we have one in 200 years GREAT, GREAT DEPRESSION, where all the credit/debts are repudiated/liquidated and the whole world goes to CASH ONLY, who's cash would you want to hold. US, a military superpower who can "liberate" other nations of their resources or Euro, Yen, Pound or Yuan? Who would want to buy gold or silver when they don't have enough money to feed themselves. Can this credit collapse happen? I don't know. I am struggling with this question all the time. Frankly I don't know how this is going to play out. IMO we will have a crisis, but at this point I don't know what is gone be first, hyperinflation or deflation. Am I paranoid? Maybe, but better safe then sorry.
