I've never considered the concept of a "positive-feedback system which distorts our economy for the sucessful to have laws passed that favor their position." so I can't comment on it. At first blush, it seems a notion worth pondering but further reflection suggests it will be a slow and complex investigation.

Probably because I'm new to this board, I'm unable to visualize a process with complex motivation and simple administration, nor have I any idea why it would not be easily loopholed. Can I, without trivializing the matter, ask if that would be like sports contests, where the motivation is money and ego gratification and the administration is logistics and scheduling?

My personal concern is with finding ways to improve my homeland. Would the processes you favor work to that end?

Fred

Here, probably for my own ego gratification, are the first two stanzas of a poem I wrote in 1960 which seem (to me) no less apt today:

America, sweet lovely homeland
Blessed with abundance to spare
Cradle of freedom and justice
You're bringing your people despair

Despair for the lowering standards
The loss of our national pride
Pain for the inroads in freedom
Encroaching on every side
