Young people are inculcated and assaulted by idealistic individuals known as teachers. Teachers were self selected by their desire to make a difference rather than make a buck. They enter a world with self reinforcing feedback loops supporting liberal ideology. The books they are encouraged to read espouse liberal philosophy. Their instructors and peers are liberal. They learn to block out conflicting ideology.

Business people tend to dominated by people with a performance ethic. They evaluate competing ideologies on their competing merits. Eventually they learn to discard ideas that are not productive.

It is very interesting that businesses and industry are more ecology friendly in capitalistic countries than is socialistic ones.
