John,

Thanks.

Regarding near-term pricing on MSFT (or anything else for that matter), I'm afraid that I cannot give the kind of accuracy of projection that some posters on this thread have the God-given ability to give. I am the naive sort who is satisfied with buying Microsoft [and Intel] when others panic and I have additional long-term funds I wish to commit. I did so for modest additional amounts most recently in the mid 120s and low 130s.

I kind of like to be holding a company that is the de facto standard in so many critical areas, is establishing itself as the de facto standard in a number of others, is making money so fast that it has to keep adopting new ways of deferring revenues, has essentially no cost of manufacture, is as addictive as Camels (but otherwise harmless), etc. But that's just me. You should do what you feel comfortable with doing. < g >

One thought: you might want to investigate how many successful investors are primarily long-term holders vs. in-and-out traders before you choose your investment style. Untaxed compounding without the risk of getting whipsawed on short-term fluctuations might have something to do with what you may discover.

Best regards,
Arno
