The criticism espoused from the short view centers around the timing of the stock-split and repurchase program announcement during the time when the stock was in downward spiral and under great verbal pressure. (One-trick pony, topping scrip reports, Dr.Nathan Padma/Barrons attack, FDA inspector problems) Vivus's CFO spends a good portion of his time on the road, attempting to find institutional backing. Are they promoters? I think so. Is this bad? Some might say, yes. I say hell, no! If you've got it, flaunt it, by all means!
