I don't see why there should be a law mandating this selection. Most of what I have written could be replaced in the discussion by a defined benefit pension. I also don't see any good reason to mandate a defined benefit pension plan. Just look at what happened to all the pensions All the more reason not to mandate one. and it should be obvious why relying of the nobles oblige of the stockholders is not as effective as a law would have been. Who's relying on nobles oblige? The worker is relying on working for his money, not on charity from others. Tim
