The issue for Bush is why did he not go to the FISA courts. Hey, I am repeating what a Republican Senator has asked Bush.

The issue for Bush is why did he not approach Congress to change the law. Hey, I am repeating what a Democratic Senator has asked Bush.

Russert on "Meet the Press" program yesterday played a video clip from Bush's campaign speech in Buffalo during 2004 where he very clearly said that he is aware he needs court approval for wiretaps on American citizens. When he knew that was the law, then why did he deliberately violate the law. Didn't he also try to mislead the US public that he was not spying on them. That response was not to any question he was asked on the issue. So why did he mislead the US public. The US public will agree that he can very well mislead non-US citizens like Al Qaeda. But the US public?
