I'm a liberal, vegan, and support animal rights, and generally vote for gun control, yet I own an SAR-48 (never fired it) which is a cheaper copy of the Belgium FN FAL. Looks kinda cool on my wall. I had a Hungarian AKM and some Aussie machine pistol that looked like a chopped down M15, but got rid of those years ago. They were fun (and noisy) to target shoot with. I'm not and have never been a hunter, and would happily give up my toys if I could get every gun in the USA melted for scrap.
