It all depends on how crazy iran is and how much of the new Presidents fear mongering is just spin. Quite a game of iranian roulette we have going now.

I give the Iranian situation till June , and then maybe on to mid summer 2006 , and then those nuclear facilities will be taken out militarily . If there is not an agreement soon in the UN that leads to a blanket embargo & sanctions to a clear and present danger that this rogue terrorist state represents . A unilateral military preemptive strike may be called for , and should be carried out exhausting all other options.

The indications that Iran is now getting very close to their goal of creating these weapons after 12 years is almost clear & verifiable now by the feints of diplomacy Iran is engaged in . Unfortunately several members of the UN security council are themselves the providers of the technology and machinery that they've profited on providing to Iran . So going the route of the UN may be just so much and exercise in futility .

It is complete folly to allow a state who's leaders have already avowed themselves publicly , calling for the total destruction of another legitimate state & nation , and who are engaging in the creation of weapons of mass destruction. Neither you or I , or anyone else on this thread posting would choose to live next door to such a country, who has sworn your complete annihilation willingly .
