As it turns out , the cartoons were first published far back in Sept with no great uproar then ....and these months afterwords saved & transported back to the ME by Imams for the purposes of fomenting exactly this kind of most recent upheaval and outrage and violence ...this is what the populations are trained and indoctrinated for . Why do i get the sense of that this fear of democracy, modernization and some secularization has its roots not so much for its insult to Mohammed or Islam , but as a threat to the tradition of seated powers that be , whos very status is undone should people come upon the right to self determination ? And the exercise of free parliamentary electoral process and progress . An entire centuries old industry & cast system of Caliphs , Mullahs and Madrassas, Monarchy and Royals could be assaulted and weakened and eventually modified to only a shadow of their former power and security and unquestioned authority . Believe me , I feel their fear and rage , and would run to hide behind the Koran too. And also hide behind indoctrinated masses of unemployed lumpen youth . And oh yes , these "moderate voices" we hear so much about ? Silences are deafening....
