The Watcher is a paid service to which you can subscribe, ISLD was a free service which some people tended to forget, I don't, personally, blaim Josh as you only get kicked in the teeth, so to speak, for so long before you decide it isn't worth it.
I for one appreciated ILSD when it was up and didn't cry to much when it wasn't, though I was at times prompted to send an email asking for it to be fixed.
This thread has ran Peter and Jon off, why should they post here, it isn't a required by anything or anybody function of a broker to respond to a public discussion thread with which they have no connection.
Datek has always been responsive to complaints and is under unreal growth conditions, doing a pretty good job. A few kudo's mixed in with all of the vinegar would certainly help give this thread balance. It also might make Jon and Peter more apt to read what is said here.
The simple fact is that Datek offers the best technology for trading on the internet in NASDAQ stocks, period. They have grown at an exponetial rate and I think they have done a superb job of keeping up. While everyone claims to have massive troubles, I have not had trouble, I have received civil help when I have called, I have had a check mailed less than 12 hours after I emailed the request, I have had excellent executions, with less problems in nearly 200 trades, than I have had at Aufhauser in 6 trades. I doubt that the other 60,000 members of Datek are suffering like all on this thread would indicate.
