Jim, Joe and all : Presstek sues short-sellers over Web postings.....

Joe and Jim - Can I now sue the poster if I do not agree with their postings? I like Alphonse's posts and in fact agree with several of his comments and opinions (some even use his posts as a reverse indicator).....BUT what if Novell thought they were inaccurate or perhaps viewed the 'facts' differently? Should they be able to sue any of the posters on this board that might state a different opinion (or even fact) that Novell does not agree with????

"...Presstek Inc. sued three short-sellers on allegations they posted false reports about the company on the Internet in an effort to drive the company's stock lower. The company said, Ivan Lustig, Mark Hollingsworth and Parag Patel used aliases in posting the statements on Silicon Investor and Motley Fool, two popular Web sites frequented by investors. The Web sites aren't named in the suit. Lustig and Patel deny they posted any false statements; Hollingsworth couldn't be reached immediately for comment..." See dbc.com

This type of action by Presstek should not even be allowed in the courts....I believe no one person yields enough influence to change the stock price higher or lower.

Look Novell went down today eventhough VK has been hyping the stock as a buy now for several weeks.
