That IO has designed a backward compatible zip was stated in the prospectus that went along with the secondary. I am certain that I read it there. So, if you can believe the prospectus then that report should be considered true. Whether IO will actually go to production with such a beast is another question. There are certainly MANY floppies floating around the world that would love to be welcome in a zip drive; but, at what cost? It will probably still be cheaper to buy a zip drive AND a floppy drive as opposed to one backward compatible zip. Hope that helps.

Regards,
John
