What's amazing is that we've allocated some $80 Billion in reconstruction assistance and it still seems as if the relief effort is stalled.

Of course, I was cautious about seeing that much money just "thrown" at the relief effort as it would be an open invitation for corruption and waste.

And Louisiana and New Orleans need to make some hard decisions about how they wish to go about reconstructing the area.

And it doesn't help having the mayor telling everyone that New Orleans will be "chocolate"..

I can only imagine if David Duke was mayor and he announced on the public airwaves that NO would be "Vanilla", or Lily-White.
