Yes a certain percentage has gone to the way of automation meaning fewer jobs...the danger is that a much larger percentage has gone to offshore job outsourceing and moving entire manufacturing operations to China, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, etc..... Service and techinical jobs to India.... Hands on manufacturing jobs are greatly diminished for the non college type and the college type../../ this will come back to haunt Americas young.... regards
