"The teachers of today, are much like the journalists of today. Instead of just reporting the news, or teaching the basics, they are now inserting their own, personal, beliefs and thoughts. The classrooms, and media, have become their soap box on which they stand to spout what they believe, instead of the known facts."

You are very observant. It marks a transition of our society from a reality based one to a perception based society. How many time have you seem something like "perception is reality" or perception is everything"?

"Large corporations have evolved into huge beasts that are eaten up by greed. It's not the usefulness of a product, but how much money they can get from it. That is cheating their customers, in a way."

Large corporations have developed significant influence in the legislative process. This has probably always been the case. Unions also have a significant input into the process. "Capitalists, own the property, and want to see it grow, instead of being polluted."

The socialist ideal is that the workers own the means of production, thus act like owners for the benefit of everyone. The reality is starkly different. As we have both mentioned socialism induces inefficiencies that rob the system of the resources to maintain the health of the system and the environment.
