Refco IPO underwriters sued by shareholders Tue Feb 7, 2006 12:04 PM ET NEW YORK, Feb 7 (Reuters) - U.S. investment bank Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS.N: Quote, Profile, Research) on Tuesday disclosed that it and other underwriters of Refco Inc.'s August 2005 initial public offering are the subjects of a number of investor lawsuits. Goldman said various suits seeking class action status are pending at Manhattan federal court, according to the firm's annual 10-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The suits allege violations of disclosure requirements and seek damages.
