Been thinking about your friend AAPL. First, I find it fascinating that we generated virtually identical "Danger Will Robinson" triggers despite (presumably) vastly different approaches.

The other thing I noticed is that - before the dump - AAPL was sitting right above the daily trigger, and the daily trigger itself was not far above the weekly trigger. In fact, the daily and weekly triggers were within one ATR (1/2 N in Turtle Talk) of each other.

No wonder it cascaded!

It would be pretty straightforward to backtest this against historicals - if I had a Bloomie** - which I don't - so I'll just be making a mental note to myself to keep an eye out for similar situations.

Speaking of Bloomies...anybody here taking IB up on its Reuters BridgeChannel offer?

** Could probably do it through IB's c++ API, but it would require farming the data and I really really don't want to work that hard.
