I don't know if you've ever been to a gun show, but it's ridiculously easy to buy a gun at one. I bought a pistol from a "private collection", went through NO background check, and I think I was only asked to provide my DL # because I asked if there WAS a background check. The guy behind the table scribbled down my DL# on a little scrap of paper and shoved it in his pocket! I bought a near antique automatic Ortiges .32 pocket pistol. It's a gun that Sidney Greenstreet might pull in a '30's film noir.
