Dear Winston,
I agree that zip is not the standard yet; however, from an investment point of view, if you wait until the time that Zip REALLY is the standard in all computers, you won't make nearly the profit on your investment that you would have had you forseen the writing on the wall. Zip has certainly taken the first steps to becoming the standard with OEM deals to include Zips in some of their models. Of course, no OEM in their right minds would include zips as standard in ALL of their models at this early stage of the game. There would almost certainly be some people behind the times who think they don't need a zip and would simply go to another manufacturer to get a cheaper computer without it. By including Zips in some of their lines, the OEMs can satisfy all of their customers. And they WILL give the customer what he wants. If enough customers want computers without Zips then computers without Zips will be made and sold. So, now that Zip is in some of their lines, it would appear to be only a matter of time...

Just my perspective.

Regards,

John
