The announcement means that they have filed to sell. They will probably sell over the next few weeks, unless volume picks up on the buy side and they can sell all their shares sooner. They have no intent on keeping the shares and have probably given the brokerage an open agreement to sell within a specific price range, which can subject to change if the desired price cannot be supported. I sometimes also see an additional news noting when an sale has been completed.

I'm not really sure what you mean. I'm really not concerned about the recent downturn. It is a good opportunity to pick up more, and I doubt we will see these levels much longer, but I've been wrong before :). There were some heafty volume days traded above 8, and the fundamentals haven't changed. In fact, with the recent press released, the fundamentals have solidified. Everyone is waiting for EB. They'll announce soon I'm sure. It skyrocketted into the low 9s rather quickly. Many of us, myself included, have purchased based on the expectation of the new EB release. As I've said before, this is the "show me" quarter. I'm happy about what I've been shown so far. Looking forward to being "shown" EB, and would like the release soon too. Not sure if the recent jump was excitement about EB, new coverage stocking, takeover rumor (shoot, should have sold on the rumor, missed it again ), or what. I was excited, and still am about Altris. I really expect to see teens on ALTS this calendar year.
BTW, had I sold on the rumor, I'd definately be re-buying right now. Had my 3d boy. Very exciting times.
