You therefore assume the Saudis think they are reprehensible. That's just not correct logic.

That's not my logic.....its what I've read in articles done by Saudis and heard from Saudis that live here in the US.

Americans think making women wear black (only) and cover their faces in all public places would be horrible. I've seen zero proof that Saudi men or women (in general) feel the same way. In fact I've read the women like it because it prevents them from having to deal with irritating men bothering them.

Yeah, I've heard that too. I've also heard young women complain because they feel constricted by the attire. There is rarely only one side to an issue.

So do you have any proof that the average Saudi does not like his government? It means more than 50% of Saudis are opposed to their monarchy.

No, I don't have proof that 50% of the country opposes the gov't. How do you take such a survey in a country ruled by a totalitarian gov't?

Here are some comments from a Saudi who defected to the US in the 1990s:

"Khilewi: I can report many advances towards democracy among the Saudi people in general, and specifically, among the intellectuals. During the 1970s and 1980s, the main question was, "Is the government good or bad?" In the 1990s, a general consensus has emerged that the government is indeed bad; the main question now is how to get rid of it. With this, a psychological barrier has been broken. The people strongly wish to participate in their destiny."
