I don't see why this is an either-or, capitalist vs. worker. The examples are deliberately designed to illustrate the fundamental unfairness. Sure, many if not most people fit into different roles in real life. That is a reaction, not a solution. It's not good public policy to place people in the position of having to excel at several roles. Some people are good at directing capital and some are good at designing the next coversheet for TPS reports. In the current system the designer is obliged to also take on the role of investor no matter how unsuited he is for the task, or risk losing out in what turns out to be a zero-sum game of control over their own life and time.
