Hamas: Terrorism Brings About Israeli Retreat

The PA's victorious Hamas group produced a video crediting its terror attacks as the policy that successfully led to the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, and that will bring about further withdrawals.
In the video, translated by Palestinian Media Watch, images of Jews being forcibly removed by Israeli troops from Gaza’s Jewish communities are shown, as well as the destruction of the towns – with the following lyrics sung in the background:
“The invaders fled [Gaza]
The army of the Jews was defeated
The home and the homeland is returning through [Palestinian] blood
Not through negotiations, surrender, or promises
Allah the Great, be pleased by the sound of thunder!
We will never accept the Judaization of the Land of Heaven
We will never accept the enemies in the land of our fathers...
The invaders fled [Gaza]
The army of the Jews was defeated
The home and the homeland is returning through [Palestinian] blood
Not through negotiations, surrender, or promises...
Let the enemies leave the entire land!
And take their holy books, which are all black!
Our flag was raised and spread out, O Jihad...!

The words “rejecting negotiations” are sung over famous images of political agreements being signed by Shimon Peres and Ariel Sharon with various Arab leaders.
As the words "homeland is returning" are sung, an image of the Israeli city of Haifa is displayed, stressing that Hamas sees all of Israel as the "homeland," to be returned to “through blood.”
The words, "Let the enemies leave the entire land! And take their holy books which are all black," are sung while images of Jews praying are shown.
“The clear message to the Palestinian viewer is that the Gaza withdrawal is both the defeat of Israel through terror, and a precedent for the future,” said Palestinian Media Watch Director Itamar Marcus.
In addition to the Hamas video, the perception that the Disengagement vindicated the murder of Israeli civilians in terrorist attacks was echoed in an article in Tuesday’s PA-sponsored Al-Hayat Al Jadida newspaper:
"The smashing victory of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement [Hamas] in the PLC elections . . . confirms that this people believes only in the option of resistance as a single way for the liberation of Palestine from the Zionist colonialism...
"What was liberated from the land of Palestine in Gaza was done only through the heroes and the jihad warriors, not through futile negotiations for peace and nor by head bowing..." |
