Exactly my point. There is this delusional quality about the value of an American versus the value of other people outside the US who have the smarts and the ambition to better themselves.

Exactly my point. You believe that Americans have a quality problem relative to people outside the US with smarts and ambition (a point I agree with) yet at the same time you have some sort of delusion about US R&D (that undercounts just how well the US is doing).

Doublespeak and you are full of it.
