C'mon. If you don't believe you have responsibilities under the Constitution, and the laws that flow therefrom...then I suppose it would be hypocritical for you to talk about Rights under the Constitution? Really--think about what you are suggesting... "The important difference is that this "debt" was created by the government" When you break the law you are indebted to all your fellow citizens whom are born into Constitutional Rights. When you (for example) rape a child and society subsequently comes to your door in order to arrest you--it is NOT a debt created by society (WE THE PEOPLE)--it is a DEBT created by YOU. The entire concept of accountability rests upon the social agreement (and the objective FACT) that people are responsible for their actions.
