It is all orchestrated. A picture of Jesus Christ with a machine gun would not cause riots all over christendom. We have day jobs and cannot be bothered, even if mortally offended.

Muslims are fundamentalists to a man. It is their differentiation from the west that they wear with more than a little bit of self consciousness. That they also must, with single minded determination, reduce themselves to a level of childishness over the slightest of slights follows this habit of taking themselves far too seriously. It you don't view them as they want to be viewed they will register their displeasure with all the force and boldness of a common polecat.

Swift saw it all and portrayed them in his epic Gulliver. I believe they come from the land of HOUYHNHNMS.
