Steve:
Thanks for supplying us with the text of the R&T letter and your observations.
Unless I have missed something along the way, this is the first time that PLSIA has made a move to enter the war of words. My recollection is that up to now, PLSIA has seemed content to let you and Westergaard have your own public disagreement, while they (PLSIA) play the long-suffering abused party. I thought that tack was rather clever, but now we have:
This firm represents Premier Laser Systems, Inc. (the "Company").
What comes next is almost amusing (in a pathetic sort of way:)
All of these statements have had a severe negative impact on the price of the Company's publicly traded securities, damaging both the Company and its shareholders.
Did you ever think, Steve, that you - or for that matter any of us - had such enormous power, via SI, that our negative statements would have severe negative impact on the price of the Company's publicly traded securities, damaging both the Company and its shareholders.
Severe? Damaging? Those are hard enough to qualify - let alone quantify.
One can only wonder at your motivation for making these false statements.
What the Deuce is that supposed to mean? Rephrase: One can only wonder at PLSIA's motivation for making this idiotic move.
In any event, on behalf of the Company, demand is hereby made that you immediately cease publishing false statements concerning the Company.
Question: Is it possible to cease something which has never begun?
Please be advised that the Company intends to take all appropriate legal actions to protect its rights.
Regardless of the rights of others to post dissenting views?
Pluvia: I stand by my posts about Premier Laser Systems.
Hang in there, Steve!
M.
If they want something to chew on, we'll send both PLSIA and R&T a box of virtual dougnuts from the CyberPatrol Doughnut Shop. <g> |
