What comes next is already here - reality does not sit around waiting for you to notice it -- reality is a train that leaves the station with or without you. For the most part, America is not on board the train, and many in America are sitting on the tracks wondering what the low rumble coming from around the corner means without much ability to focus on the implications as they hear the whistle blow and feel the ground beneath them shake. Some will sit on the tracks examining their shoes, wondering if they need new laces. Some will stare at the sky and wonder what to have for lunch. A few, and hopefully enough, will get up off their ass and take their situation seriously. A few will wonder why we have to have trains in the first place, and will pine away for the days before trains rode the rails, hoping that the days of horse and buggy will return. These people will be scraped off the cow catcher somewhere down the line.
