re:There is no point in trying to plan or to come up with preventative measures

If you're pissing in the ocean to raise the tides - do you not see that as useless, wasted effort. The fact you're not even slightly skeptical is really scary - the typical do something liberal crowd.

You guys are an amazing lot. You don't want anyone telling you that you can't have whatever you want when you want it in the quantity you want it in.

I was skeptical ten years ago when I first heard about global warming. I have grown less skeptical as we see more and more evidence of the phenomenon, and as more and more distinguished and respected scientists agree that its a very real possibility. When 100 of our best scientists take out an ads in the WA Post and the NY Times, asking Bush to pay attention and rethink his position on global warming, you know they have thought the issue through pretty carefully.

But even if its not true, I know that its just plain wrong for the US to consume a 1/4 of the world's resources when it has only 3% of its population..........wrong on several levels.

Besides, that level of gross consumption is hurting this country in a number of ways..........particularly in the pollution it creates. So you would think you all would want to change things in order to improve the American quality of life.

As I already told you - I see several good reasons to reduce our CO2 levels based on changing our depedance on foreign oil or more importantly cleaner coal. But ironcially did you know the most important gas in global warming is water vapor by a wide margin over CO2? Just ask the next Global Warming evangelist how they account for water vapor in their models - or the fact we're at historical lows if not outright deficits in world CO2 levels. That ice ages have even occured with levels around 4000 ppms, when we all know that this in direct contradiction to the green house theory.

Show me a link where it says the most important gas in global warming is water vapor.......water vapor has always been present in the earth's atmosphere because of the hydrosphere cycle of evaporation and condensation. What has changed?

re:You all are like people in the 19th century..........

I see the global warming people that way - running scared at every turn, thinking we did something wrong.

WTF is the problem with righties and this issue about not being wrong. Everyone is wrong at least once in their life. Why can't you all admit it? Human beings have done a number of things wrong. For an example, Hitler executed 6 million people. That's wrong no matter how you slice it. The US has polluted a lot of lakes and rivers.......that's wrong. The Soviets took over the Eastern European countries. That's wrong. Humans are wrong a lot of the time. That's how we learn.

So why the hell can't you all admit when you've made mistakes and been wrong?

re:..........praying to God

I don't pray - don't believe in the gods.

That's too bad.
