Hello Kacy,

I am surprised to see technical factors often taking precedence over fundamentals in the junior markets when it comes to taking decisions.

People buy because other are buying, or are selling because either others are selling or worst because nobody is buying. No doubt that from time to time, it make sense to take some profits off the table. But there is also room for core position in a portfolio.

Here we have a rare growth stock in the mining sector, CKG, a company that creates value for its shareholders. How many mining stocks do you know that:

1) Still have the same $25 millions in the bank they had 4 years ago.

2) Still have the same 18M shares out they had 3 years ago.

3) Have their stocks in solid hands with seniors like Glamis (shareholder) and Goldcorp (JV) as partners

4) Have accumulated (so far) in excess of 1M ounces of gold in (not yet N43-101) resources and a magnificent mining district district in virgin territory (where several targets have already been identified) as well as many other promising properties.

5) has proven management and exploration team with a track record not really matched by many people in the industry with two large multi-million ounces discoveries in the last 10 years that have become mines.

Frankly, it is very hard to find companies that are suitable long term investment in this sector. CKG is one of them.

You are certainly right to say that O&G has been the best sector with large market gains and liquid situations. Much safer sector for a trader.

But I don't think it is right to to say that illiquid mining stocks are death traps. There are many that are not.
