I guess you dont realize that there are 5-10 terrorist acts commited or attempted against Jews near Gaza and the West Bank on a daily basis, or don;t you count the daily raining down of Kassam missles inside Israel as offenses?

IDF Foils Two Terrorist Attacks in Gaza
14:53 Feb 09, '06 / 11 Shevat 5766
By Hillel Fendel

Two terrorists were killed and two others were hit as PA terrorists continue to try to attack Israeli interests.

The first attack occurred during the early morning hours, as thousands of Arab workers from PA-controlled Gaza were on their way to their workplaces in Israel. Suddenly, the steady stream of workers stopped - alerting the Israeli guards to a likely imminent terror attack. Israeli officials informed the PA, which replied that the abrupt stoppage might be attributable to the inclement weather. Israel was not convinced by this response, and stepped up its alert at the site.

Shortly afterwards, a civilian guard by the name of Hadas noted two terrorists nearing the border fence. The IDF was alerted, and a battle ensued, with the terrorists shooting and throwing grenades before being shot and were killed. The Erez Crossing was immediately closed.

Closer to noon, an Israeli tank crew fired at two terrorists who were seen approaching the border fence near Erez and trying to place a bomb there. The IDF reported that both terrorists were hit, and that one was killed.

In other IDF news, the army pulled out its troops this past Thursday from the Shomron community of Yitzhar. The decision was taken after some young residents of Yitzhar, in the wake of the army/police violence at Amona, raided an army guard post, overcame the guard and stole an army radio. The radio was returned the next day, but the IDF responded by removing its protection. The IDF will continue to use mobile forces to provide a "defensive response" to terror threats in the area, and an observation position near Yitzhar will remain in use for the time being.

Two terrorists attempted to infiltrate into Givon, north of Jerusalem, early this afternoon. Army forces shot at them, but the two escaped.
