"See previous rants on CO2 and why it's good to produce more."

Yes, it is good for Alaska, if your only concern is the growing season length, Alaska's annual average temperature has now risen 4 degrees F in last 40 years. The effect of Global warming is greatest at the poles and least at the equator. Polar increases of up to 10 degrees C are forecast if CO2 levels continue to rise.

The Gulf stream has began shutdown, recorded drop in flow to the North Atlantic is now 30% recorded in the last 6 years. Note that Europe has just experienced two of the coldest winters on record.

I guess you could say that global warming is good for New Orleans, That 30% drop in flow has resulted in an increase in the flow of a branch of the Gulf Stream that flows eastward to Africa thus increasing the temperature of the tropical Atlantic. Watch for another big Hurricane Season this coming year.

Polar bears are getting hungry, the ice cover of the Arctic Ice has diminished by 50% in the last 40 years. Good for shipping as the Arctic Ocean is expected to be ice free in July and August ~ 20 years.

Bad for caribou, their range on the North Slope is turning to mud as the permafrost melts, makes it difficult to get around. Much harder than walking under the Oil pipelines.

There may soon be a big increase in bucket and cold water sales in New Zealand.<G>

Your prediction that Carbon Dioxide is good and that we should increase it to stave off a new Ice Age is stupid, the carbon dioxide increase of the past century, and the present increase of 1% per year (3.6 parts/million /Year) is at the moment triggering the Ice age you want to prevent. Never in the last 460,000 years have Green House gas concentrations even approached present day levels (Antarctic ice cores). These levels 360 parts per million are increasing as stated at 1%/year.

"There are none so blind as those that will not see", does that apply to me, or to you?
