When someone wins big time at the Grammys ... you know he's finished. I was sad to see U2 win a lot of Grammys yesterday. It means they're now at the end of the road. Another litmus test for someone being at the end of the road? Performing at the Super Bowl. These are the two indications of totally being maxed out in the commercial world. Totally broad based appeal. Totally losing your edge. I still love U2. But I find the albums (or is it CDs?) I listen to the most are almost 20 years old: Joshua Tree and Unforgettable Fire. Fabulous. /john
