Gonzalez admitted he couldn't vouch for illegal wiretapping only being used to survey terrorism suspects and their connections. That was a giveaway right there. Plus, we've seen all kinds of reports about the Bush DOD and FBI spying on peace groups, reporters, environmentalists and even vegetarians. Political opponents would also be natural targets of such an unethical administration.

Now Bushies will try to hide behind national security and executive privilege the same way Nixon did, but worse. They are snubbing their noses at congress and thereby trampling on the Constitution and the very basis of our American democracy.
