I don't really care if there's a short type on thread -- some of the crustier ones can be rather entertaining, especially if the stock keeps going up and you know they're being ground into Alpo -- but I don't have any use for nonparticipants who show up when the thread is in a grieving process. I suspect they stop at auto accidents hoping for a good look too. The Germans have a word for it: Schadenfreude, which basically means the neurotic enjoyment of someone's suffering.
