I don't think there was much merit to a target of 2000 but otoh most in this market don't seem to have any recollection of companies that start out as winners, correct occasionally and continue their run like cisco, msft and others did from the early 90s. All anybody remembers are the crash and burn flameouts that were created in the LATE 90s.
