"Until the specific case goes to court and gets decided by a court of law."
"A case like that wouldn't last past the first court. The judge would throw the case out. They are clearly legal here under pre-established law. The only decision the court would make would be to tell the plaintiffs to get lost."
You have your opinion but you don't know that.

"A good example of excessive gov't control of the press. And now even you recognize that."
Not really the point. The point is that people bring law suits and the perception that people have changes with time. As a result so does the way laws are used.

" I notice that neither you noe others have had problems understanding my meaning." Because you refuse to accept that things are more complicated and are simpler than your take of them.

"We were talking about Islam and Saudi claims to be the purest example."
No we were talking about Denmark, cartoons that demean a religion, and the reactions of those who practice that religion. You changed the subject to S.A.

"And you can bet any attempt by a state legislature to limit appeals to the federal courts is just going to generate more appeals to the federal courts. A state legislature CANNOT bar appeals to federal courts in this country."

I hope you understand how difficult it is to bring a case to the federal courts when that case is based on de facto discrimination. As opposed to clear cut discrimination cases.

Here is an article that illustrates the problem.
