True enough. But what do you think the likelyhood of Bush slapping the equivalent of $30/Barrel of tax on oil that cost $30/B is? I'd say zero.

Just look at the fact that the section 179 deduction on > 6000lb GFW is still >25K (was $75K last year) while we still have tariffs on imported midsized trucks to further help GM & Ford.

We aught to promptly slap a tax on any vehicle > 6000lb GVW, allow NO section 179 write off on them, and allow a full 179 write off on anything that gets > 40 mpg. As for GM & Ford, screw the fools.
