No fresc, you completely missed the point as in got it totally backwards... (I expressed my self wrong.. better double check my post because that is sure not consistent with my other posts on the topic... or you are not listening) The Berlin Wall and cold war ended under Reagan's watch... Clinton fell into the huge Peace Dividend... As the US burgeoned economically ... We followed ... as is natural... considering 80% of our trade is US bound... And the Liberals fell into that.. along with the GST (Consumption Tax) money printing machine PERFECTLY suited for boom times.. and free trade the only two good legacies from Mulroney.. Did the The 'Righties' Stateside really defeat the Communists ? Or win by default.. Did Mulroney Fix our economy ? I dunno .. But the ENd of the Cold War with all the ensuing benefits it promised happened under a Republican president and the last conservative government here, the PCs left behind the initiatives of the GST and Free Trade ... certainly not Liberal inventions... would you agree ;o) It's a fact anyway.
