It's not that I disagree on how the economy got rolling in the 90's. But you give Mulroney way to much credit. Ok, the end of the cold was 1989. So from 90-93 Canada's deficit continued to grow? Go figure! Are you listening? You would have to include jimmy Carter also in bringing down Russia. He continued to increase military spending (B1 Bomber,MX Missile system) as Reagan did. Russia could not keep pace.
