There is no law that says someone without a security clearance cannot reveal classified information. They shouldn't have it in the first place, but all kinds of people in government like to leak classified info when it suits them and squeal like a stuck pig when it doesn't.

The recent Predator attacks in Pakistan were leaked to CNBC and NBC almost as the missiles landed. I haven't heard a peep from anyone complaining about the revelation of what must have been a highly classified strike.

And I seriously doubt that info was declassified through proper channels. Official government spokesmen were denying it even while Bush's intelligence officials were shouting it to the rooftops.

People with security clearances are bound by laws. People without them are not. If you can show me a federal statute to the contrary I would like to see it.
