But I just wish that you had discussed the ramifications for Aware (even if just a little bit). It is surprising that they weren't mentioned at all in the article, since they were one of the major participants in the licensing (I know that ADI was the actual licensee).

I just happen to think that it wasn't pure coincidence that this licensing occurred the day after Ericsson announced that they would use the ADI/Aware transceiver chipset in their modems. I believe that Ericsson was the initiator behind this Amati/ADI licensing agreement and I would have liked to have seen this aspect explored a little more throughly.

Please correct me if I am misguided.
