Sharon Stone's got an unusual approach to parenting.

The actress is giving up custody of her five year old son for one year, because she's making four movies back to back.

The Casino star struck an unusual agreement with ex-husband Phil Bronstein, granting each of them custody for alternate years over a four-year period.

Stone is hoping to revive her sagging fortunes with Basic Instinct 2, which filmed in the UK last year. Money first, baby second - way to go!!

Parenting is undervalued
Household duties are expensive tasks that have financial impact
BY PAMELA
Ask Kelly Flynn of Dallas what she does for a living and she'll proudly tell you that she's a stay-at-home mom caring for her 2-year-old son, Eddie.
There's no question that the emotional value of Flynn's services is priceless to her family.
But how much do stay-at-home parents such as Flynn add financially to the household?
A lot.
Just because they don't earn a salary doesn't mean stay-at-home parents don't provide a measurable financial value.
Child care, transportation, cleaning, cooking and other household duties are all important, expensive tasks, the replacement value of which is often severely underestimated.
An analysis by Salary.com found that today's 5.4 million stay-at-home moms would earn $131,471 in annual salary, including overtime pay, if they were doing the same work for an employer.
