And -- this is still true -- one of these days a hurricane is coming further west, up the river, and is going to push the river ahead as a storm surge instead of the lake.

No doubt this will happen, someday.

Someday SF is geting hit by a huge earthquake.

But I think the most likely calamity will be one started by humans--a nuclear explosion somewhere in the US and/or Israel.

I think that the chances of something nuclear happening are a whole lot better than a hurricane coming up the river. Even so, I'll see the hurricane coming; there will be no warning of a nuclear blast.

Life is a bitch then you die so smoke those old stogies, drink that fine wine, eat the good food, listen to good music, the time alloted to you to enjoy these things is very limited and death is forever.
