We have survived alot of things. We'll survive Bush. Do you remember the McCarthy era from your history books? That was a hell of a lot scarier than what we're experiencing now. Bush and cronies are just corrupt. McCarthy was an ideological nightmare. He was turning this country into a gestapo state. Many ordinary people's lives were ruined because of McCarthy. I don't feel fear of Bush. I say bad things about him all the time and nothing has happened to me or my family. However, if I'd said bad things about McCarthy and he got wind of it and felt threatened, then I might have found my family ruined and in poverty.


I consider the Bush threat to the American democracy to be much worse. McCarthy was a tool of the GOP.......he did the dirty work that they rest of the party did not want to do. When he got too big for his britches, they axed him. That's not what we have here.
